Privacy
Plain and simple.

Oak Forward is run by one person — me, Jonathan. This page explains, in plain language, what happens with your information when you use this site. No legal maze, just the truth.
The Reflection
When you take The Reflection, your answers are used for one purpose: generating your reflection. Your answers are sent securely to an AI service (Anthropic's Claude) to write it, and the result is shown to you on screen. Oak Forward does not keep a database of your answers — once your reflection is generated, your answers aren't stored on our end or shared with anyone.
Your email address
If you give your email at the end of The Reflection, it's used to send you your copy — that's it. If you answer the optional "go further" question, that answer is emailed to me so I can build things people actually want. If you sign up for the Growing Forward letter, your email is used to send you the letter, and every letter includes an unsubscribe link. I don't sell, rent, or share your email with anyone, ever.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits — things like how many people visited and which pages they viewed. It helps me understand what's useful. It doesn't tell me who you are.
The services this site runs on
Like nearly every website, Oak Forward is built on a few trusted services that process data to make things work: Netlify (hosting), Anthropic (generating reflections), EmailJS (delivering emails), and Google Analytics (counting visits). Each handles data under its own privacy policy.
A note on what this isn't
The Reflection is a tool for perspective — it isn't therapy, counseling, or medical advice, and it isn't a substitute for any of those. If you're carrying something heavy, please reach out to someone you trust or a professional. In the US, you can call or text 988 anytime.
